The plant is found to predominantly contain triterpenoids, flavonoids and steroids amongst others and is found to possess analgesic, antiinflammatory, antioxidant, antinociceptive, antimicrobial, antipyretic, antitumor, lipid peroxide scavenging and free radical scavenging activities.
