Lippia nodiflora has been reviewed for its biological activities and phytochemical constituents. The plant is found to predominantly contain triterpenoids, flavonoids and steroids amongst others and is found to possess analgesic, antiinflammatory, antioxidant, antinociceptive, antimicrobial, antipyretic, antitumor, lipid peroxide scavenging and free radical scavenging activities. For future studies it would be valuable to investigate the biologically active constituents responsible for the various activities of the plant demonstrated in the traditional system of medicine.
